Librarian positions at Washington State University are faculty, tenure-track positions.

The tenure process includes annual review, a more substantial 3rd-year review, and review upon application for tenure, which usually takes place at the 6th year of employment. More information about the tenure process and timeline can be found here:

WSU Librarians create plans for tenure and promotion following one of three options: the Balanced model, which balances primary work responsibilities, publication, and professional activity, and service; the Publication model, which allows for more focus on publication and less on organizational participation; or the Professional Participation model, which allows for more professional activity and less publication.
